What to expect
The Blended Online MHFA Community Course adapts the Standard Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course into a fully online format while offering the same accreditation. This course consists of two components:
Course Structure
Component 1: Self-Paced eLearning (5–7 hours)
An interactive online module providing an overview of mental health problems and crises, including:
Mental illnesses: Depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and psychosis.
Mental health crises: Suicidal thoughts and behaviours, non-suicidal self-injury, traumatic events, and aggressive behaviours.
Component 2: Instructor-Led Webinar (5 hours)
Delivered via Zoom on 3rd May 2025 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM AEST.
This session revises the content from the eLearning component and consolidates practical skills in a group setting.
Who Can Attend?
This training is suitable for any adult supporting another adult. No prior training or experience is required.
Note: Participants must be based in Australia.
